MINISTERIAL STAFF

The Ministerial staff at Ebenzer is a united team of ministers annointed by God to serve and support the church and community.  They stand equipped to go to God in prayer by faith for your personal needs and prayer requests.  They offer the plan and prayer of salvation to all those who choose to accept Jesus into their lives as Savior and Lord.

And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding. - Jer 3:15

 Pastor-Washington2

Jesus told Peter if you love me “feed  my sheep.

My sheep, my people, need to be fed my Word…

To be equipped, they need my Word – My Word is a lamp unto thy feet, a light unto thy path- bread when you are hungry- water when you are thirsty.  My people, my sheep,  need feeding because some of them will be bruised and battered, some will be beaten and bewildered by the things of the world, by life itself, by friends and foes;  They will be mocked and maligned by ‘The Enemy’; tempted and tried by ‘The Deceiver’;  Feed my sheep and remind them that I was ‘wounded for their transgressions, bruised for their iniquity and the chastisement of their peace was upon me and by my stripes you are healed.”

Pastor Washington - A Man on the Move

Pastor Leonard Keith Washington, the seventh child of eight born to the late Leonard B. Washington and Mrs. Ninice Washington in Monroe, LA., was eager to go to church from the very earliest years, when the entire Washington family attended church.  At the age of 5, Pastor Washington made a covenant with God that he has not yet broken and at 13, he accepted Christ and was baptized at the Flowery Mount Baptist Church of Monroe, LA.

After receiving his Bachelor’s degree in Business Marketing, he moved to Foster City, CA.  In 1987 Pastor Washington united with Trinity Baptist Church of San Mateo, CA where he served as an Usher, a member of the Sanctuary Choir, a member of the Male Chorus and Sunday School Teacher for the young adults. In the summer of 1991, he acknowledged his call to ministry and began as the Youth Minister at Trinity Baptist Church. During his 7 years of service he became Associate Pastor.

Attending many of Ebenezer’s Annual Fellowship services between 1991 and 1998, he joined Ebenezer in 2000 under the Pastorate of Rev. Eugene Lumpkin, Jr.; and later became the Assistant Pastor. In the following 10 years of fellowship he busied himself by teaching Vacation Bible School and overseeing its welfare in the absence of their Pastor.  His accomplishments list as Assistant Dean of Congress at the State Convention, leadership positions in the Christian Fellowship District Association, plus Marriage and Financial Management class teacher at the Winter Convocation.  He has been a devoted husband to Yolanda E. Lumpkin Washington for 18 years and they are the proud parents of three lovely daughters, Emani Latrice, Britani Ninice and Briana Lavada Washington.

With 18 years of preaching and service to the church, he remains a God-fearing and family focused loving servant of the Lord.  Working closely as Assistant Pastor of Ebenezer to oversee the spiritual welfare of the church body, his 10 years of loyal service made way for his election as Pastor of Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church, where he lovingly presides today.

Pastor Washington has matriculated at Fuller Theological Seminary and is in the process of completing his Masters of Divinity.

Min. Michael Wiggins - Public Relations

Minister Michael Wiggins is the grandson of one of Ebenezer's original members, Inez B. Green.  As a young adult he was actively involved in the music ministry singing with Ebenezer's choirs IVOP, the Male Chorus and with the Gospel community choir called the Disciples of Prayer.

Minister Wiggins holds a B.A. degree in Radio Television from San Francisco State University and Software certification from Control Data Institute.  He has worked in the IT industry for several years as a Senior Software Engineer.  He has been blessed to travel and live internationally while working in the Software field.

While  residing in Europe he answered the call to the ministry and began preaching at the Hope International Baptist Church in Rotterdam under the direction of Pastor Richmond Ofori-Tawiah.

Upon his relocation to the Bay Area in 2009, he re-joined Ebenezer as an Associate Minister and was appointed to the role of Public Relations Minsiter by Pastor Washington.  "It is my earnest prayer and desire to use evey gift and talent I possess to help Ebenezer become a powerful and effective vessel for the Glory of God!".
