Our mission is modeled after Jesus Christ, who came to serve and to seek. "Even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many." (Matthew 20:28) We function as a unified force, rejecting the divisions of social constructs and recognizing that our strength lies in our oneness under the authority of the Father. Our purpose is modeled after the life and heart of Jesus Christ, who declared His mission with clarity: We are committed to being a bridge of hope and a pillar of stability for: The Least and the Lost, The Left Out and the Disenfranchised, The Marginalized and the Forgotten. We believe that true greatness in the Kingdom is found in our willingness to serve those the world has overlooked. Romans 12:1 - we make a decisive dedication of our bodies, presenting all our members and faculties as a living sacrifice, holy, devoted, and well-pleasing to God. We do not offer a passive faith; we offer our intellect, our skills, and our strength to the work of the Lord. We stand as a community that is Steadfast, Immovable, and Always Abounding in the work of the Lord (1 Corinthians 15:58). We realize that our labor is never in vain when it is done in obedience. Our response to the call of God is singular and unwavering: Here am I. Send me.
At Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church, our foundational goal is to teach our youth the ways of the Lord. We believe that young people are not just the future of the church, they are the church of today. To honor this, every Third Sunday is dedicated as Youth Sunday. On this special day, our young members are encouraged to showcase their God-given talents and participate directly in leading the service. There is a meaningful place for everyone to serve, whether it is operating our technology and sound systems, assisting with the offering, or serving faithfully as Junior Deacons.
Every summer, our sanctuary comes alive for Vacation Bible School! This week-long summer celebration is a highlight of our church year, designed for members of all ages to come together and learn from our dedicated Bible school leaders. We heavily encourage our members to use this week to invite new friends, family, and neighbors. Packed with engaging lessons, plenty of games, shared lunches, and special events, it is an unforgettable week of fellowship. Be sure to check our online Events Calendar as summer approaches for exact dates and scheduling.
